    Morning all. Going to Hvammsvik Hot Springs for a lazy soak in the natural pools. Back for something to eat and a final walk round Reykjavik then catching the airport shuttle this evening. Stopping at the airport hotel overnight and flying home in the morning.

    Sounds like a great holiday - did you see any of the volcanic eruption on the Reykjanes peninsula?

    No the area near the eruption is out of bounds to tourists due to the high air pollution. There's been a dirty fog hanging over the whole island for the last few days.

    We went to a lava tunnel on the peninsula on Monday and even though I have nothing wrong with my lungs, I felt slightly breathless walking around there.

    They are doing helicopter flights over it but it's £500 each to do that so we gave it a miss.

    Hoping for a view of it out of the plane window in the morning.
