Was quite an interesting game in some ways.

Zubimendi looked sharp - fast incisive passing as well winning the ball back to spring attacks.
Odegaard seemed to benefit from him being in the team.
    Norgaard looked pretty solid
Dowman looked like an experienced player when he got on the ball - unbelievable really.
Kepa looked good - especially on the pens.
Saka rolled right back into his stride.

Yeah pros: Zubimendi was class, Noordgard also, Dowman super impressive.

Cons: Martinelli and Trossard were both poor.

Trossard was winding me up when he came on. That chance from a good ball was begging to be hit first time and he tried a trick. Just f****** hit it!
    Martinelli was quiet.

I thought we were pretty dominant after the first 25-30 mins. We had 23 shots, 9 on target. They had 3 shots, 2 on target. We battered them for most of the match, but as has been too common a theme, our mediocre finishing meant the scoreline wasn't reflective of how much better we were. Good performance considering it's the 1st pre-season game.

People have mentioned the likes of Dowman and Nwaneri as having top performances, and they did, but Marli Salmon also bedded in at CB seamlessly. He's 15 years old, but did not look out of place at all against established pros, and showed how comfortable he is playing out from the back and executing 60 yard passes from deep. Could be another serious talent in Hale End alongside his age mate in Dowman.

Penalties were a bit disappointing, but no real jeopardy in them. At least Kepa saved a few...
