Surely we had much more possession in the first half and a lot more on top for the second ..? How the hell to they (mis-)calculate such things?
It was one of the most one-sided affairs we've been involved with where we've been on the offensive that I've seen us play. In other games this season we've dominated play for long periods with no killer touch, only to be outdone by a breakaway attack and our nervous defence. Yesterday, but for one or two Brambly-Yakubu moments we looked solid as well as dominant
Henderson??? Re the OP - I saw that as well and thought it was a joke - the BBC stats for posession were absolute bollocks
During the match they had us as 70%. I guess there is a problem with the website, and the possession stats reset themselves after the live updates are turned off. Or they are just crap. Choose the one that you like best...
According to Sky we had 23 shots, BBC have it has 22. Sky had us and Blackburn commiting 11 fouls apiece. BBC had Sunderland 11 and Blackburn 7. WTF???? Licence fee pays for numties, nice to see.
I think when a player hoofs the ball into the air, they count that as being in his possession until another player touches it. So think how long th eball spends in the air after a Blackburn player kicks it, and how often they do that, that's where it comes from.
What the hell is that supposed to mean? I answered the OP in a perfectly honest rationable fashion. You have a knack of ruining every single thread by being a **** MR. I seriously hope someone ****ing kills you you miserable old sod.
Answer me this then numbnuts. When a pass is made to a player two yards away is the ball still in our possession?
