One of the sad parts of supporting a team is when it’s time to say goodbye to long serving players in order to hopefully progress the club. It’d particularly hard when it’d such a nice, and decent guy like Bammy. We’ve already said goodbye to great guys like Kiichy, Coops, Luke Ayling and Pablo. All legends of the Bielsa era and made great by him. Unfortunately for Paddy, it came at a price. His injury record for last two seasons has been appalling and expensive. The fittest he managed to get was to make a few cameo twenty minute appearances from the bench and no club can afford the luxury of a player like that hogging one of the valuable spots in a twenty four man squad. Farke has undoubtedly made the right decision and also by going public with it. Paddy is a wealthy man and fair play to him. He’ll have a long career in media if he wants it, great tv personality. Maybe he’ll go north of the border and try reclaim some fitness. Personally I’m sad to see his Leeds career end this way but it was inevitable. Thanks for being part of the great Bielsa memories Paddy
To me he'll always be known as One Season behind closed doors wonder and also when he pretended he was hit by that Villa player. Anyway moving on.
