Not true, you were on 26 points last season after 15 games. I guess it all depends how you define the beginning of the season, 5 games perhaps? Well we were on 9 points after 5 games, which is not our best start. How about 10 games in? 16 points is you worst ever total after the first 10 games? Nope, of course it isn't.

We could also look at it another way. Despite having the most prolific striker in the league you're still 2 points behind us with an extra game played :D

City away next, isn't it? Good luck with that <laugh>

We will try not to lose 5-1 with our first team squad.

Funny, deluded spuds thinking they were going to challenge for the title...... Yesterday we saw the same old spuds in all its glory, they had a chance to put a bit of day light between us and them.... they blew it! I willing to wager that they will drop points against a resurgent Mackem on Saturday!

With the departure of key men from our squad in the close season, we have done exceptionally well keeping tabs on a champions league place.......Imagine if Spuds had lost Modric and VDV?

We never had a chance of being in it - it would take a monumental decline for city not to win the title this season

And there is no shame in losing at a ground where liverpool, chelsea and man utd have all failed to win <ok>

You must be in the minority of spuds....I know so many who believed they are well equipped to win the league this term!

If it was April now then we were in a good position and you never know what is going to happen in football - I certainly didn't think liverpool would win the champions league when they did!

This is the best spurs team I have ever seen and I await to see what they achieve but its all early days

Thing is, chances are that you will lose 'arry, Modric & Ade in the summer. Possibly VDV too. You'll neve have a better chance than this year and sadly (for you) there is little chance of it being any different from recent seasons.

I think Man City have made sure no other club has a chance of the league and that may not change for a while IMO

If you lose RVP or we lose Modric then our teams are severely weakened. City don't really have that problem.

This is true, but Citeh are not majorly different than other teams over the years. Team with the most money normally does it. Chelsea a few years ago. Man U before Chelsea were the richest (how many £30M plus players?). Even going back, Notts Forest 1st team to but a player for £1M, then won the league.

Man Citeh have just done it on a bigger and more obvious scale.

City are not unbeatable, far from it, watch them start to lose games and see their lead eroded. This is not a great team at all, defensively they are average, nothing more.

I am not afraid of City, if our defence works we can beat City for sure.

I agree about their defence but they are scoring a ridiculous amount of goals and that's what matters. If they win their next two then who is going to beat them?
