    1. Well, I can see where he is coming from then.

    2. Im sick, and tired of biased with pundits these days. Why cant they give a neutral view on things these days!? Sometimes, i feel like ringing 606 and ranting and raving on there ha. Lawro and Hansen **** me off on BBC, and Big Nose winds me up on skysports.

He was only joking! Why does it upset you so much, seriously? People who get offended at little things ruin everything in this world. Nothing is acceptable these days except sitting on the fence and not saying anything at all. Punditry has been ruined by people who are too precious to appreciate the fact that someone may not share their opinion on something.

It only seems to be a select few, the majority couldn't give a damn toss.

I've never been offended by a pundit. Le Tissue and Merson belittle Liverpool all the time but it just humours me. I find it funny when the panel regularly laugh at Thommo, to be fair he does say some silly things like Mourinho could be the next Liverpool manager or that we can win the league. <ok>

I just get annoyed by it. I know it shouldnt bother me. But it does. I cant stand biased from football pundits. In an ideal world, pundits would give an unbiased/neutral, opinion on a game. However, a few of them tend too back their favoured team to the hills. Honestly, at times they can act like they're in a pub.

This is why, Shearer IS actually a good pundit. As he is honest about every team, including Newcastle. Feck it, as much as I dislike the bloke, Gary Neville seems un biased and honest opinion on Sky Sports.

I agree its only a minority, but its a shame the minority ruin stuff for the rest, is it not? I mean, no one complains about Jeff Stelling celebrating a Hartlepool goal, but if it was Phil Thompson or Charlie Nicholas then it'd turn into a massive problem and everyone would be outraged for some reason.

I get what you mean about Stelling. I can imagine however, supporters of teams who play Hartlepool can get annoyed by him.

Was it tongue-in-cheek? I would imagine it was.

Anyway can't see us going into freefall if we can get Tiote, Colo and Williamson back and keep them fit. Surely no more injuries for God's sake.

    Aye, I suppose you're right <laugh>

But still, biased in football punditry doesnt half wind me up! Although, if Shearer, was constantly biased towards Newcastle. I'd love it. <doh> FML

Fortunately for me, I couldn't care less for the opinion of washed-up ex-footballer Alan 'I slur my words like i'm pissed' Hansen.

MOTD needs to bin Hansen, Lawrenson & Shearer - yes I said it. Big Al is and always will be a total legend, but he totally sucks as a pundit.

So basically all the moaning in this thread is pointless because he actually said "could" go into freefall. I'm not understanding all this worry over what some pundit on the TV says. Pundits are biased, they have been since TV football began. And football is very much all opinions anyway. 5 people could view the same incident 5 different ways so you can't win. I am bored of threads moaning about what some pundit says about us, we need to stop being so precious and having this chip on our shoulder. We're turning into a bunch of whingers who think the worlds against us.

Hello I'd like to join the Over-reaction club too please!

Typical Tash, Hansen said we could go into freefall (after our performance on Saturday not surprised), he then pointed out we had no CB's and all four goals came from set plays or crosses where the 2 FB playing at CB's lost the guys they were supposed to be marking. Don't see how Shearer could defend that as that's what happened.

Really? A thread about someone saying something not remotely controversial and pretty accurate. Nice one Tash.
