Never heard of him. Just Googled him and he played in Serie A and it’s one of the leagues I don’t actually care to watch
You can forgive a stuttering false start and a reset when things don't really work out, at first. When you then appoint a manager who vastly improves performance on the pitch, unites and excites the fan base and achieves one of the top 10 finishes in the club's history, then sack him while just outside of the playoff places seems foolhardy. Appointing the wildest of wild cards (failed) followed by a save a club in trouble wallab (succeeded... umm, failed) whilst signing a quiver full of random wasters, nowt specialers and urr... could work. though probably not, merchants wasn't really sensible. So... sack the latest bloke - sweet-talk a gullible fool into taking the hotseat, tell the fans everything is tip top and bullshit them that everything is tickety-boo (my personal favourite - we're signing a good striker and a very good striker), a couple of days before sanctions hit (don't tell me he didn't know), then play mushroom farmers (keep them in the dark and cover them in ****). We've signed someone but we won't tell you who it is yet. We'll sell any quality we have and hope that the online justifers tell you what a great deal it is. The future's bright. The future's orange. Or, at least, a sweaty amber. With a **** collar.
Same discussion, 'no way should we be anywhere near him', when we're not and probably never were, start same discussion again. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
100 staff members on £30k a year costs £3m and they won't have 100 full time staff. Of the £11m wage bill, around £9m will be on the 1st team squad. Back to the original point, they'll be paying plenty of players £5k a week or more. Acun gave Wendy in accounts a £100k pay rise.
I wasn't aware this one, in a nutshell, they claim Acun paid to president of Malatyaspor some sort of money or provided an opportunity etc. whatever it is, basically some personal transaction happened, so in exchange Tetteh transfer happened with 0 price tag. They also found some unclarities on payments made in that period, basically there were many payments from "not existing" companies from abroad towards club. They claim club president was laundering money together with Acun. Some method named "mail order" is used, it is a specific payment type lately became pretty popular for betting abroad to avoid sanctions.
I'm sure City went through a phase of only buying players who looked good vs us...Lets be fair it was always going to be a flaming disaster..and so it's proved....Only player who meets this criteria and did any good was way back....One Dave Roberts...The rest have been a waste of fecking money. Whose next? Oli McBurnie?
Versatility? He did a job at left back but let’s not pretend he wasn’t beaten constantly whenever the opposition had a pacey winger. I recall him having to be brought off at half time through fear of him getting sent off as the only thing he could do was bring the winger down.
