Word out is that Stoke stayed in a hotel on Merseyside before sundays game with Everton ............ Our Mr Pennant took it upon himself to sneek out and go his own way while all the rest were tucked up ! Anyways Mr Pulis was waiting in Reception waiting for JP and he apparently arrived back approx 2am .. Pulis told him to get a taxi and foxtrot oscar ! needless to say he has trained with the kids all week and no inclusion in the squad at all today and as stormed off !! I think he could well be on his way throo the exit door !! its a shame but perhaps leopards dont change there spots !
Looks like Pennant is the new Lawrence, Kitson, Beattie Tuncay then. Once you fall foul of TP you may as well sign your own exit papers. I said to my mate at the match today, after our performance against Tottenham I can't see pennant breaking back into the side anyway. Shotton in place of Delap has seriously improved our game. If TP can get him improve his crossing we will have a real germ on our hands there.
Its dissapointing and whilst we dont know all the facts, I probably have to side with TP on this one. However, he is in along list of alledged decenters and after all there is no smoke without fire! Maybe TP needs to look in the mirror himself ocassionally and try and understand why he has a higher ratio of "problem players" than any other prem manager?
That's because TP does not realise he is dealing with humans with lives outside football rather than machines and robots that he is trying to create!
Someone I follow on Twitter who is quite chummy with some of the academy lot and some others like Louis Moult, claimed he had heard this as well, that he got his end away with some tart while the team were in the hotel. The same guy got told by Moult that Pennant hasn't been training with the side this week. Plus he was also seen leaving the ground early today as well. Something is not right clearly, whatever Pulis says about him being unfit. Re Waddo: What did Lawrence do to get on the wrong side of Pulis? I was under the impression he left amicably.
Sarge it was the dog gate incident. He apparently tripped over his dog on the stairs and fell down and got injured. Other reports came in differently. But I know after that incident he rarely featured in the side again and when he came pally with Beattie that was his death knell! Just been reading other reports on Pennant and the rumours flying thick and fast now..... one says he as slapped in a transfer request and another says it is nothing more than a knock he picked up during the Kiev game. Time will tell I suppose! The picture of him in the papers this week looking hammered at John Terry's 31st bash won't do him any favours though!
Sgt FACT, I know Louis Moult's Grandfather "very well" There is no way young Louis would know anything about Pennant's reported shananagin's. EVEN if he did, he's not the type of lad to say anything underhanded, behind someone's back. UNLESS, Mr Moult Seniour is telling Porky's, which he does not. NO OFFENCE sarg Pennant's obviously peeing off Mr Pulis and he did indeed get told to.. "Go home BEFORE the Everton game" I can assure everyone.. that, Louis Moult knew nothing about this. HOW do I KNOW this? Because Moult has been told BY Stoke City F.C... " It will be hard for us(Stoke City F.C.) to consider giving you another contract" In short.. and this is the SAD part Sgt. Louis Moult has NO FUTURE at Stoke City????????????????????????????????????????????????? Which, pee's me off even more than Pennant's reported night on the tiles. Shotton is young, still learning but, he will improve. No one is more pleased for the lad than me. A REAL PITY that, Mr Pulis and Co don't see ANYTHING in one young and talented Louis Moult who unlike PENNANT.. would give his "right arm" to play for his home town club. HOPE this helps clear things up.. my oppinion on Pennant for what it's worth... IF he snook out of the hotel.. Mr P has every right to bolok him too! so would I have done.
Is that why whenever a past or present player is questioned about Pulis they always applaud his man-management skills? Try enjoying the ride we're on instead of sticking the knife in at every available opportunity. You never know, you might like it
Aaah yes, Lawrence, Beattie, Kitson and Tuncay have all gone on to achieve great things since leaving us, haven't they?
I've had that childish remark levelled at me before and it's neither clever nor constuctive to any sort of debate. I find it funny how you comment on the one negative thread on our board where the manager may, or may not, have fallen out with a player. However, you've yet to say a single posititve thing about yesterday's game other than "Shotton's better than Delap, but his crossing's still dodgy". I know you don't like the manager, and that's fine. I just get the impression with you that you're happiest when we've lost a few games and you can vent your spleen at the manager on this forum- you've said before you'd accept us being relegated if it meant Pulis leaves the club. I too get angry with many of the things he does, but that doesn't stop me enjoying the good times as well.
I pay my money year in and year out to give me the right to "vent my spleen" and yes if I am unhappy with a manager that in my opinion is negative for the club then that's my perogative. Stoke did indeed play really well today and yes Shotton is a star for the future but his crossing needs to improve what's wrong with that. I just get ticked off with fans like you that think Pulis is the messiah. We have got one of the richest chairmen in the country and I believe Pulis has wasted millions on tat. Another more quality manager could have been bringing us more attractive football and maybe even silverware with what has been spent. I will be eternally grateful for TP for where he has bought us but I feel like that is it as he does not yet know any other way to play. After 4 seasons in the prem we are still relying on the long throw tactic. if you are happy to watch this week in week out then fair play to you, but I would like to see us move forward and bring in some quality. I don't think this will happen though has Pulis proves time after time he cannot handle stars. Anyhow I'm not getting into this after todays great win but I'd just wish you would take your tongue out of TP's rear!
PS Welsh Mourinho I just read your post on the Spurs board and that makes you under my estimation an even bigger tosser than I already thought you were. Stabbing a fellow stokie in the back you are the pits!
Other posters will vouch for me that I've created numerous threads this season slating TP for various things - from team selection, tactics, comments in the press etc. He annoys me as much as he does anyone else, yet for some reason I'm still viewed as a Pulis arse-licker who can't see the wood for the trees- I guess TP's right when he describes how difficult it is to shake off a reputation. I also never said you weren't allowed an opinion - you're one of the most articulate posters on here and despite what I've said , I do enjoy having debates with you and I do enjoy reading your posts. My gripe is that I can probably count on one hand the positive things you've said about the manager, yet you always seem able to highlight his failings (of which there are a few). I've spent a hell of a lot of money too over the last 15 years following our club, and if I think Pulis is a very good manager, then that's my right to think that. To paraphrase Brian Clough, I don't think Pulis is our best ever manager, but for me, he's certainly in the top one.
I've nothing further to say to you as far as I'm concerned you're a back stabbing twat! How articulate was that?
I don't know how you can know so decisively that I'm a "tosser" for simply proffering my opinion on an internet forum. It doesn't matter if someone is a Stoke fan or a Port Vale fan, if I disagree with a post I read then I'll comment on it, no matter what board it's on.
Very, actually. Although abusing someone over the internet is a tad immature, so I'll have to deduct a couple of marks. B+
Oh no, a pro and anti Pulis argument and I neither the instigator or involved - nightmare!! Fellow Stokies 'avin a go' and I am still NOT involved!! What on earth is going on! Anyway ON topic, Pennant has a history of a very good first year, get's a nice contract then goes off the rails, so here we go again then. I've said it before and I'll say it again, if we are not using the Academy properly, close it down, I cannot see where Pulis is coming from on this one. Bye for now, just going to take a dose of anti PC pills and get back to normal. Let's all have a big group (virtual) hug
Haha, it's a shame you weren't involved Nicky, Waddo needed some backup! I agree about the Academy - but to be fair young Shotton is an Academy graduate as is Andy Wilkinson and Carl Dickinson (now at Watford). Maybe there is hope on that front after all.
