Yes that is what I would expect to happen as well, although Ricciardo could also perhaps get the Caterham seat, and Vergne either the HRT seat or Toro Rosso reserve.

Ricciardo deserves the Caterham seat. A darn sight more than Trulli does.

Combining all the rumours/speculation which is still valid, I make it now:

    Red Bull: Vettel + Webber
    Mclaren: Button + Hamilton
    Ferrari: Alonso + ???
    Mercedes: Rosberg + Schumacher
    Lotus: Raikkonen + Grosjean
    Force India: ??? + ???
    Toro Rosso: ??? + ???
    Sauber: ??? + ???
    Williams: Maldonado + ????
    Caterham: Kovalainen + ???
    Marussia: Pic + ???
HRT: De la Rosa + ???

Still a fair few seats to confirm then!

Wait, when was Massa's seat in doubt? Plus I'm 99% certain Glock's been announced at Virgin.

They've both been announced, but I was commenting on the speculation that Petrov might sign, and with Massa, pretty much everyone has been linked to that seat, especially Kubica, so whilst it's safe for the moment, its probably the least secure seat in the top 4 teams. The drivers I've named have had no speculation about them being replaced mentioned.

Even if he is one of the least drive-deserving drivers in F1, I have to agree with tomtom94 and say Massa is probably safe.

I think the smartest move for Bruno would be to stick to being Lotus 3rd driver if they keep him

Yes, Lotus/Renault do have a tendency to replace "under-performing" drivers mid-season.

Ah, but for how long? Until Kubica is fit perhaps? Or are Renault going to see if Kimi still has it before they decide on which team-mate will be with Kubica? The 'good seats' really depend on Kubica IMO, the rest is just a scrabble for anything, and probably just be glad if you're sitting in an HRT come March. Sutil should get a drive, but Heidfeld should still be at Renault, so there are no guarantees. Shame about Senna, I think his F1 career is over.

even though his F1 career may be over, Senna can feel very proud of what he has managed to do: Tolerating staying away from a sport he loved to not hurt his family's feelings for many years, and then quickly proceeding through the junior categories without the necessary background, and then jumping in mid-season and beating Petrov. Well done to him!

How exactly did he beat Petrov? Thats like saying Webber beat Vettel or Massa beat Alonso.
Infact when they both finished, Senna beat Petrov once..

Interesrting Fact that since their decline started Renault have used more drivers than anyone else (raikkonen is the 9th since 2007). They like to play the blame game.

to be more exact he made him look average, just look at Martin Brundle, James Allen and Jean Alesi's assessment of his season, because I'd take them more seriously than arm-chair experts like those who participate on these forums, these guys have been there and done that so they know what they're talking about

I think beat is the wrong word, but to me Senna showed himself as the one with more potential.

Fred points out the only once when both finished statistic, but in Belgium there was the crash and deserved drive through. In Singapore Bruno destroyed Petrov, then in Japan Petrov destroyed Senna, In the last 3 senna had mechanical problems.

So in reality it was 2-1 petrov, but only thanks to a moment of clumsiness.
