Your right he had no intention of building up any sort of invasion force or attacking our mainland to scupper industrial production, destroy public morale and cause damage to the armed forces, None of that ever happened.

I don't think you lot where collaborators (Neutral as I've said) but i do think your should appreciate the fact that the British helped save Ireland from an invasion, lets face the facts here Ireland would have had huge strategic importance in fighting against yanks afterwards.

That was all after Britain declared war.

Britain, like every other country, looks after their own interests first and last. No one elses. The Yanks would have happily sat WW2 out for example.

Are things so desperate in the UK, that the only come back to the economic downturn, is to brag about WW2. Pathetic. The German economic powerhouse is extremely important to the well being of the UK. Big talk to say "I'd rather live in the poor house." Tell that to a nation and see what happens. You only have to look toward Greece to see how people feel about the arse falling out of their economic system.

In heaven, the French are the cooks, the Germans are the engineers, the Italians are the artists, the Swiss are the timekeepers, and the Brits are the police.

In hell, the Brits are the cooks, the Italians are the engineers, the Swiss are the artists, the French are the timekeepers, and the Germans are the police.
