Personally, I'm rather suspicious of anyone who manages to leave a bottle of wine open for longer than an evening.
Morning All, bright and sunny here this morning without any of the frost that I found in the UK. Saturday morning in Newhaven it was -6C and although we expect to get some days of cold, it will not be until January or February if things go as normal. With regards to the open bottle of wine, it was partly consumed for experimental reasons. Right time to grab a coffee then off to find out that the French language has not become anymore straight forward while I have been away.
good luck with the lessons Also nice to see NZ won a thrilling test match in Oz First win there since 85!! levelled the series as well! Another storm due Tuesday ( the same one hitting UK today I think)

Morning all - bright clear start to the day in Bandit Country, there was a beautiful full moon this morning when I awoke. Taking Little Miss W_Y to MK for some shopping and then we are home for an afternoon of baking and listening to Xmas songs - it's not Xmas until we get Nat King Cole blasting out on the Radiogram! Thanks for the frothy, I will drink it is the car on the way... Nice day everyone.
I had no idea there were so many forums that have sprung up , most have no entries for ages , 100`s of pages to troll through
Morning all, shocker of a day. My car has decided that is not going to work, borrowing Mrs Sandy's and having to leave work early today and drop it off at the garage.........again Norway, I see you were so close to winning Jon Marks prediction competition. I'd gone with 2-0 and Sordell for the winner, so was a bit miffed when he missed the pen and ruined my chances of a signed team sheet .
That's it, Monday morning lesson finished for a month. Today we were presented with a recipe for making a Christmas Pudding which had to be translated into French. Chaos ruled as the Dutch and German nationals do not know anything about such culinary delights. Mind you the Christmas Cake recipe didn't exactly strike a chord with them either. The teacher admitted that if she had known what mayhem there would be she would have found something different.
No sign of it down here, it's a gorgeous day, if it's here, it must be oop North! where? What? um...okay! lol Nooo, not again! Poor you! Cars are great when they work...but when they don't! Norway didn't win?? Who did? Darn them! lol ..'a bit miffed'?? Is that all you were Sandy? How very restrained of you! lol
oh dear...that must have been fun! Still, does it matter that they don't know what it is? Surely they just have to translate the ingredients...it could be anything, no?
It was a 4 way tie and Jon pulled the winner out of the hat......someone called Sean won . I was a bit more than miffed but its before the watershed so have refrained from profanities (you can tell I'm at work, I sound all posh!!!). What I would have liked to have said was **** **** **** **** **** ****
Good afternoon all. A day of wrapping pressies and writing cards today as well as uni work. The sun is out here as usual but its still cold. But at least it is dry! Not like last night.
i haven't even bought any cards yet! lol..i'm so behind, i wonder if i'll actually get any out this year. I've been far too busy with Master Hornette's 18th...(haven't got his card yet either though! lol)
tehehe. I am organised this year, i just have to get my Mum and step-dad a pressie, but have no idea. However, i have my brother, sister and Kiri (thanks to H) sorted. I have a few cards to write as we give cards at martial arts and some for uni.
Cards bought written posted ! pressies sorted and posted Food shop and wine shopping done ! Been a busy (and expensive ) afternoon! Airfare and hire car sorted for Nottingham trip in Feb! All I need to do is get a ticket for the game nearer the time
Afternoon all from a rather damp and overcast Gloucester I was lucky though I was out in the garden first thing this morning putting a bit of willow trellis up between my house and next door which was the show house but have since sold it and taken down the railings which seperated the front doors and not replaced it Now I do not know my new neighbours but with about a 8 foot gap between the front doors and two gates, I somehow don't think that Mr postie would go out one gate and in the other he would just step across my plants plus if they have pets I don't want any unwanted messages left on my front lawn Anyway that went up no bother a couple of posts one attached to the house and the other half way and the trellis stretching the 1.5 metre gap Then off to town via the Post Office and the Parcel collection place nearby! That is when my day turned bad, why do people queue at the post office just for stamps You can buy them anywhere and if it was not for me having to return a package I would have walked away, don't do queues I had to go into town to pick up a paint roller pad as I was going back to paint a wall in the front room 'cookie dough colour' (brown) So I took the old roller with me so i got the right size from Wilko's to find out they no longer do that size of course So I had to buy a new roller set, no great shakes only £4.50, so this afternoon I have done the first coat and put up most of the decorations feeling well pleased with myself In fact I am going to give myself a pat one the back Also tonight I am going to start wrapping up the christmas presents as well! Check me out!
This isn't very nice. Type "what defines an english person" into a google (uk) search. The first article thrown up is surely there because someone is upset with the English
