If you mean the hitting the crossbar all keepers do something to that effect. It is an attempt to put the kick taker off, and it is all psychological.

I know the purpose of it, but he looks like a colossal wang when Snoddy slots it into the corner after all his theatricals. <laugh>

Apparently Sordell tried a similar pointless trick with an ultra-slow run-up for the penalty he missed.

Actually i think half of that was because no-body knew the ref had blown to allow him to take the kick. I know he took a very slow run up, but its not typical of him. I think he was in two minds himself which is why he fluffed it. I would doubt there was anything more than that. But then again I dont know.

Oh, I heard he hit the post when I was listening on Yorkshire Radio.

    Well played Alex McCarthy!

he did take a look at the ref, and looked very unsure when he took the run up...he didn't seem confident...it was very odd..

He clipped it with his fingers and it hit the inside of the post and came out again...

Ah yes, just watched those two incidents on the Football League Show now. How nice of them to give us nearly a whole minute. Thanks Manish and co.

Thats what happens when you play us. We could have beaten you 5-4 and still only got 2 mins. Yet if it was at Ellend road and we had lost 5-4 then we would have been first and with 25mins in-depth coverage.

When we played Donny, there were precisely 17 seconds of footage where the ball was in play.

I could understand the argument that it was a goalless draw and there were other matches to show, but they spent another two minutes or so covering people standing over a dead ball, players walking onto the pitch, managers talking about the game etc.

Roowfc..... A keyboard warrior.... What i'll can do with the postcard is shove it where the sun don't shine!! :emoticon-0173-middl
and it's fair critism of calamitous Loach, his one of the worst keepers I have ever seen at Watford, and I've seen a few, believe me! He's never been close to saving a penalty, in fact he has trouble catching a cold cos his so crap!!!.. So stick to your fishing and leave the football to those who go!

Ever since I saw him at the European U21 Championships in 2009 I've thought he was a dreadful keeper.

He is actually a decent keeper , prone to the odd lapse , main probs were that he didnt command his area and he didnt shout to his defence! On these areas he is improving
He is still only 23 !which is young for a keeper !
