I must speak that the Newcastle forum doesn't like them either. They come on to talk about Newcastle Football club. If they want to play word games they would find them <ok>

Reflecting the views above, we don't want these stupid threads invading our boards.

Have a forum games section, but get them off the boards.

This. Anything that would be relevant to fans of all clubs.
Or, if possible, insert a "hide" feature for individual threads so each person can decide which threads they don't want clogging their page

A few problems with this idea, IMO. First why should I censor someones post, no problem with abuse, racisim and the rest but content, shoiuld it be allowed, will kill freedom of the members. The idea of the forum is the least possible moderation and this would take it to a new and in my view unacceptable level. Second I dont like games, so I would say no, is that fair, no. Third is time, I may seem to do little and I'm sure Mick is the same but we both have full mailboxes and spend a lot of time going from forum to forum, not asking for praise, its what we do, just asking to be practicle. We could have more of me and Mick but that would agian increase the moderating and decrease freedom.

I would say the answer is simple, create a games and fun forum, make jack the moderator of that forum and he can police it. Other topics go on the general chat.
Only football related on the football forums, if any.

As you are probably not aware i set the games up in the global forum having discussed it with Mick the site owner, at the end of the day it is his site and his decision where things go, I suggest if you feel that strongly about the global threads being removed you take it up with him.

To be fair, at the time he didn't know that it would create this sort of response.
And, secondly, that is why we are discussing it on here, so Mick can discuss/see our suggestions/views,

Or would you prefer us to all inbox him individually?

I think we'll try to restrict it to one thread. My original idea was that we have one thread where we could discuss the days events, for instance on a Saturday afternoon as the goals go in have one central place to gloat and cry instead of trolling around individual forums being repetitive.

We can move the games to General Chat. The problem with a dedicated games forum is we are never likely to go in there.

I think the people have spoken on this matter so there is no point in me saying anything on this matter <ok>

If there is a way of hiding the "Global Threads" section then it would be ideal,

I'm not sure whether it's possible though?

One global thread should be fine, I didn't mind it with just the one. It's just the fact that we currently have a total of 8 stickyed threads to scroll through before reaching posts by our members and the Newcastle United forum feels quite clogged up at the minute.

One suggestion would be making a sub section for games in General Chat then have a Global thread for 24 hours announcing the new forum for the games <ok>

Maybe, to be fair, the mods should look at the stickies on their forums and see if we can reduce them.

Easy, depends how you read it, you can say 6-6-6 or you can say that 6 want it but 12 either want none or restrictions, say one global
