It’s strange because I know there is lot of talk and complaints about “tapping up” but I didn’t think it was common these days for “football manager” type situations where you can bid for a player who has no interest in joining at all (such as due to the league you are in). Thought most agents at least give the nod So if true we might be a pawn to get interest moving
Gustavo Hamer sounds like he’s off to PSV. Good news for us if he does. Feels like most of the teams who were in the Championship last year are/have lost big players.
It just highlights that you really need to get out quickly. I think Leeds were maybe a bit of an exception. But I didn’t follow their transfers last year close enough
Yeah, but tbh it doesn’t really affect us all that much. If the expected ones leave this window (Dibling, Fernandes, Ramsdale) then who is left that we’d be bothered about leaving/would get a better move if we don’t go up this year? THB possibly and Edwards if he has a really good season, but can’t think of anyone else, unless a youngster comes through or Quarshie/Downs are really good. Hamer was one of those that most Sheff Utd fans probably thought he’d leave last year but stayed for a year. Like if any of the three I listed stayed this year, we would all accept that if we don’t go up they’d likely be off
