Could be quite useful at times Tbf...I'm sure people will fail to understand why and yearn for a poncey player instead, but he's a club we don't have in the bag.
Reported asking price of £28m. Yeah, I could see this one happening, and the player fulfilling his early promise under Howe.
Ekitike rumours in the gossip today, probably bollocks as they're also saying Chelsea are gonna take Donnarumma from PSG lol
Still only 20, so plenty of time to rediscover that potential. I guess a lot will depend on his injuries and how they might impact him in the long term. Ultimately, if he passes the medical, then he's probably worth taking on as he looked decent before his injuries
Tomato and Mayonnaise are normally reliable, but who exactly is this Ferguson? I can only think of Shane and Duncan.
Ferguson actually makes far more sense as the 'back up' striker than splashing loads on Ekitike, Watkins, or Wissa. Means we can focus the budget more on CB GK and a new midfielder (if we sell Longstaff/Willock). Unless the club know that we can somehow spend really, really big money.
However, it appears we're more after the "just behind the striker" striker which Pedro is and so it Ekitike.
Well that's something Eddie and co will always look very closely at. So if he has an attitude problem then it's likely a non-runner (although we supposedly bid for Pedro and there are plenty of rumours abour his attitude).
Yeah interesting to know what the actual thinking is. Are they focusing on enhancing other options in terms of formation/tactics? Especially being in CL again, maybe the thinking is we need more versatility than sticking to 433.
And that’s why I would be wary of trying to get him. If his failure to progress was down to attitude etc then I wouldn’t be looking to bring him in.
