Quaint Californian alternative to #2 from Gold Rush time ! "If it's brown, flush it down. If it's yellow, let it mellow"
Watching a bit of the Scottish Open Golf.... quite amusing watching some of these who play in America deal with 90 degree right and left turns and balls that dont stop on a sixpence...
I’m a mathematical pedant (I know this isn’t the correct use of pendant by the way…but it’s a close enough approximation) None of the ones which show a ‘half’ filled glass are actually half filled by volume. The glass is a truncated cone shape and therefore by volume it would have to be higher up to be half full. A full cone is almost 80% up the vertical height before it is 50% full of liquid. Obviously a truncated cone is less, but it will be a lot higher than 50% up the vertical height before it is half full by volume Good morning everyone…
V = (1/3) * π * h * (r² + rR + R²) please log in to view this image You're welcome. Have a good morning.
If you know h then you don’t need l. However if you don’t know h you can calculate it from l, r and R then you can calculate v.
