Im off today and tomorrow and not alot going on today on the leeds front so far. Just had a geeble at the local evening chronicle from the local shop £15m for Longstaff. They want to squeeze as much out as they can on there sellable assets. Which is understandable when they gonna spend over 100+ in the near week to come.
Still 6 weeks to go in the Transfer window and I am ok with our steady as we go approach so far. My only concern is we have seemed to start slowly in both of Farke's seasons in charge and that will make things really tough if it happens again this year. Promoted teams can look like relegated teams by October if they start badly. Thinking we can bed new signings in over the first 6 or 8 weeks of the season would be a big mistake in my opinion. Not panicking just yet
My main concern is we need to get off to a flier with three points against Everton, I’d have hoped for a few more starters before we start the friendlies
My main concern is Underwood, what experience as he got for the job and who's supporting him. It's no good Marthe being able to do contracts in his sleep if there's no one to do contracts with.
Negotiation isn't a bad thing, but sooner rather than later we need to bite the bullet and pay the asking price.
Why do they ? Did we drop the price for Gnonto when Everton bid £25m and we wanted £30m ? Even when Gnonto went on strike for a couple of weeks ?
Morning all, I don't know if I missed it but, apart from the very start so.he was about unlike Willy, I didn't see Meslier in it. I did see Darlow. Paddy looked happy enough too
I do like that we are signing units for the PL. We got bullied in the Championship but we were way too good for that division. That won't be the case in the PL so we'll need to get stuck in, also we're hopefully bringing in players who can score from set pieces, we just need someone to deliver. I saw a pic of a smiling Jack Harrison in a Leeds shirt. I wonder......
So we should just get stiffed and pay over the odds to every club for the players we want. Can’t see our budget lasting long if we do that.
only difference is length of contract. Newcastle risk him going for half that in Jan or free in a year’s time. Gnonto was on a long deal
Basically yes. Farke said he wanted the bulk of his squad signed by Monday 7th Also Farke made a big thing last season about his aversion to signing out of contract players mid season, as they hadn't done the preseason work So if we continue to "penny pinch" and try to negotiate the price down, we'll either: 1. Lose the signing 2. End up signing players on deadline day which is AFTER the season has already started What would you prefer ?
