Yep I had a few tears around me yesterday as well about MGW.

He's a very popular lad up here, and often pictured out "in the community" posing with kids etc. Forest fans are gutted.

Funnily enough my lad served MGW and his best mate Harry Toffolo about 6 weeks ago as they frequent the local restaurant he works in a lot. Tuffolo lives local so we all know him but he does "like a drink" as they say. Again he's is a pretty genuine bloke. Always had time for anyone.

Anyway, my lad then showed MGM his Tottenham crest tattoo and joked he should be joining us but MGW just laughed. Of course he's now taking full credit for the signing this morning if it happens...

...only to be sacked at the end of that season

...and then brought back go the club as Technical Advisor a year later

At that point the fault lies with Forest for not offering a new contract with the release clause either hiked or removed

 

If RC is the release clause value,
then was Levy supposed to copy them lot
a la Vardy and offer RC + 1 ??

 

Has to be said that Forest are potentially leaving themselves open to legal action from Morgan Gibbs-White for having him sign a contract with a release clause they don't intend on honouring

I wonder if Levy and/or Paratici are on the blower to any clubs who recently sold Forest players who felt short-changed

I think the issue is how did Spurs know what the release clause was if they didn’t contact NF directly. Someone somewhere released details on the value of the release clause. Was is Gibbs?
