Loved Bon Scott era AC/DC, massively prefer it to Brian's era. "Its a long way to the top", but he got there. I guess to get to the top, its best to start at the bottom....and (in comparison to AC/DC) it doesnt get much lower than this. Yes, thats really Bon.
Massive night for me at Edinburgh Castle tomorrow. The ticket cost me £125 which is the most I've ever paid, in fact I've rarely paid despite the hundreds of gigs I've seen tbh ... ... I'm expecting it to be quite emotional after all the tension and emotion of the playoffs. I've been in the midst of a massive year long personal crisis that may soon be coming to an end. I hope this is 'the morning' that it all returns to normal.
Hope you have a cracking night Smug. Its funny how music can bring emotions to the surface. In 2018 i went to see Iron Maiden for the umpteenth time the arena, and about 3 songs in I'm siting with tears rolling down my face....at Iron Maiden ffs. And I cared not a jot. It was just the emotional release, it was the first time in God knows how many years I had done something by myself, and for myself. For that brief time I wasnt worrying about anyone, I had forgot to worry if that makes sense, and the emotion just came out. Again, have a great night mate, and I hope it is emotional, for the right reasons.
Cheers Snags, you know more than most how tough it's been to keep it all going ... ... I hope I've been decent company all the same. The concert is on the esplanade of Edinburgh Castle so the venue can only add to the beauty of it all.
That will be unbelievable mate, very few I'd pay over 100 quid for but that's definitely one of them.
It's a fantastic emotional release, I cried my eyes out when I went to see Andrea Bocelli a few years ago...and I wasn't the only one!
I just dropped lucky that he's in Edinburgh on the day I'm there by chance.. I'll have finished my mission by 4.25pm so lunch at the Guildford, a stroll along the Royal Mile and in my seat first thing to watch the atmosphere build. This'll be my first concert since Wembley. I had so many tickets to sort, people to see and arrangements to make I still don't think it's hit me ... ... Friday could change all that
Savour every second mate. I don't think Wembley has sank in for many of us yet. First game of the season will be blokes in floods of tears
That's a fact, I also think some of the players will be gritting their teeth as they run out ... ... the supporters have lived through batterings from the likes of Cheltenham, that first PL game will be wild.
