Of course not but Cirkin needs to decide whether to sign a deal here or not. If he had 3 years left it'd be fine. But he's got to make that decision now, knowing its a reduced season and he has a player with 100+ games for Atletico ahead of him.
There's no way of knowing who will be the main left back. Both will have different strengths and weaknesses, it's good competition. Cirkin has been unable to prove consistency with his fitness and would be delusional if he didnt think he'd have to face competition for his place. If he didn't want to fight for a start in the prem, then maybe he doesnt have the mentality to be here, anywhere he goes too the competition will just be tougher for him unless he drops back down to the Championship. I think Cirkin will stay and his goal should be to keep Reinildo out of the side. Left back is sorted and in a good place for me.
A lot of these players want a chance in the PL, they'd rather fight for their place than leave and go and start for a championship team surely
of course - was more a reaction to being told there's no way we'd finish above a Bournemouth side who have lost their entire defence.
That's true but he has to sign a new contract, if all goes to sh!t we now already have a replacement for the opening day.
yeh just a reflection on his contract expiry. if he had longer left it's an easier choice for him. he needs to decide whether to commit or not now.
I think it was mentioned before but I wouldn't mind Senne Lammens if we go away from France. Had a look at him.
We’ve not even got half our squad sorted yet too earlier to say I’m not a massive advocate for perri so hope the petrovic news is wide of the mark
With Petrovic until the story broke we were the only club in the running Once clubs saw Chelsea wanted to sell Bournemouth came in, European football and closer to London . we move on
Yeh I can't remember who recommended him but I checked him out before, looks really good and with room for growth. Great with ball at feet.
Bournemouth were linked to him weeks ago and needed a new keeper. I very much doubt their recruitment team saw Sacha's tweet and thought "hang on a minute"
This window was always going to be difficult and we've started it well. We'll have knockbacks, like Petrovic if the news is true. Its **** seeing someone choosing Bournemouth over us if true but thats because of the position they have put themselves in over years of good decisions and you have to appreciate them for that. We've just started that path, the hope will be in 1 or two years, we will continue the trajectory we are on and have the bigger pull than teams like that. Just have to take it on the chin at times, we'll have loads of options I'm sure.
They’re not in Europe. anyway, it’s only one source so far. Plenty time for it to be wide of the mark, also says ‘details + formalities need to be finalised’ if it’s agreed what needs to be finalised?
