If there's any club I dread in a up draw, it's Nottingham Forest Ian bloody Woan seems to have jinxed us permanently
I am stating the facts. So, were Citeh + Man Utd + the Poool the "luck of the draw" , or not ?? Umpteen opportunities for people to say yes/no, but nothing (yet) forthcoming ...
I personally didn't panic at all when I saw the City and United draws, mainly because they were both at home but also because we have a very good recent track record against the former and the latter were even worse than us last season. I'd be much more nervous drawing the likes of Newcastle, Brighton, Palace, Fulham etc. away from home at that stage of a competition. They'd likely play a full strength side and beat us. So though it looks counter-intuitive on paper, in reality it is far better drawing a 'big' side at home early on in a tournament as you will almost definitely face their B-team and you're at home - so yes, we got lucky with those draws. We faced a 'big' side in the latter stages of the tournament, and that went splendidly didn't it?
In summary, I don't wanna hear a single word from the speaking holes of those whining about how long or when Spurs win trophies ... because winning is all about the "luck of the draw" (something which NO club has CONTROL OVER) .
I never said it was all about luck of the draw but it certainly helps. I thought that was quite an obvious thing but some just like to argue for the sake of it
Easier draw/opponent means more likely to win competition. Tougher draw/opponent means less likely to win competition.

Multiple reports linking us with Burnley’s Maxime Esteve, not the first time we’ve been linked. Think the club’s looking to play a 6-2-2 formation this coming season what with all the CBs we’re gonna have in the squad.
Loic Tanzi says we are, but Romano says we aren't Possible he was a backup if Takai didn't come through, or maybe reheating a January story for content
Takai and Esteve as Romero replacements wouldn’t be acceptable Dragusin i’m not arsed about. Haven’t seen anything from him that makes me think he would be a loss.
We are not going to see Dragusin leave this window He won't be medically cleared until practically the next window
