Really pleased to see that we're trying to do things differently when it comes to overseas signings. The 6' 3" tall, 24 year old central midfielder has played 6 matches for Gambia, scoring one goal. He currently plays for Austria Wien. Below are a few clips of the player, who appears to be pretty fast and powerful midfielder. https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https://youtu.be/b_lK-Z9FY-Q?si=dser8tEmb-p4EQ70&fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR4W9B3LeKXvaKmD3l_dHIFy2gXcrjNLHvK_kiRzpx_tvtWhAsjB9e1uSWNvyw_aem_A9sWVJunp-8MP1sH6kDC6Q&h=AT2UqtaN60P2-_Bd-P45mzeBhMCXYJLAvy3BMxWzwnOa4jiF5vDAZnt_dkfJ6JQqKqhn3D-wMWm7U6IX4Yk8QqtfW64q8QKW6ezwPpCODou_JwuFLnaDgES2F-jY1GpPxZLL0QANU-FZg-5PJpXQvtsBODWpPS5i&__tn__=,mH-R&c[0]=AT1Dd6IV263F4GdKMQb6Q1FzktfK-TvDgpMdHIZbtf1hRpmuQ9iTTx4rC_iAB8Qrnek9d9LsFpRhEJc9j-L-qOlFEVNgszl85v2yWw9Jl0sehR94J71gEauOb_-JIXB6RbJ_zWXjvcj8NpyTQWrdO3Jn220R6oKkPDI30Y_MvJc3Bc_3BTsyO49fivlOHcBM_RyPfM4

He made his senior debut back in January, coming off the bench in an FA Cup third round contest at Wycome. John Mousinho also named Clout among the substitutes for Championship games against Luton, Middlesbrough and Bristol City. Scholars Cody Howard, Jayden Keteku, Connor May and Luke Staight have not been offered new deals and will leave the club. Academy manager Greg Miller said: “I’d like to wish Cody, Jayden, Connor and Luke the very best for the future. “We are also delighted that, in the elite level of a Championship football club, we have witnessed strong performances and progression from Harry and, as such, he has been offered a professional contract. “It tops off a great season that saw him make his debut at Wycombe in the FA Cup and while he deserves the plaudits, I’d also like to make a special mention to all the academy staff who have helped him reach this point.” Blues boss John Mousinho said: “Harry impressed when he joined up with the first team last season and is a promising young player. “This professional contract is thoroughly deserved and we’re excited to see how he develops with us in the coming weeks and months.”
We need an Under 21/23 team to bridge the gap between the academy and first team, and also enable young guys signed like Blair to develop their craft. By the beginning of the season, I would imagine the squad size to be around 30, so.that means 12 full time professionals kicking their heels for large chunks of the season each week.

The 23-year-old centre-back made 45 appearances for the club – scoring four goals – after signing from Bristol City in January 2023. Arguably his finest moment in a Pompey shirt came the following month, with a brace in a 3-1 home victory over Bolton. Blues boss John Mousinho said: “Ryley was popular with fans, players and staff alike, so we’re certainly sad to see him go.

He has made 162 appearances, scoring 18 goals for WBA, as well as being capped 8 times by DR Congo. Glasgow Rangers are also apparently interested in the player.
Inevitable, but I am sad to see him go. from what I saw of him I thought he showed the ability to step up to championship level. whilst probably not one of our two favoured central defenders when all are fit I thought he was pushed further down the pecking order than he should have been. It is an open question as to whether McIntyre was better than him as it is with Matthews. I thank him and wish him very well indeed. I hope he gets the regular first team football he deserves - and, if he does, i am sure he will flourish. As with Towler, Tom Lowry's exit was inevitable and has been since he was not registered as a Pompey player last year. When fit he showed energy and commitment in mid field and had an excellent first touch. If he can remain injury free I am sure he will succeed. Again I wish him well and thank him.
Tom Lowery has signed a two year contract with Scottish Premier League Kilmarnock. Very talented player, but appeared to be somewhat injury prone. Wish him all the best at his new club
