The "luck of the draw" did not seem to have
much to do with all games in the League cup
last season up to the SF 2nd leg, did it.

Didn’t win it though did they?

Humiliating defeat at Anfield in the second leg

Some non-brilliant sources are claiming we're looking to aid Juventus in their debt issues by signing Douglas Luiz

Would love Douglas Luiz at Spurs, wouldn’t cost a fortune either. Was great at Villa. Concerned he had a lot of muscle injuries at Juve last season though.

    1. at all
    2. 2nd leg leading the tie

I think you're being quite generous there.

    We were appalling against Coventry.

Played well against City but that needs to be put in the context of:
    A) we often beat them, no idea why
    B) Pep made something like 8 changes to his strongest team. We made 3.

Beating a United team as poor as that at home is nothing to write home about.

The first leg against Liverpool was a truly heroic performance worthy of every plaudit. Easily one of our best performances of the season.

Then the second leg was as low as it got.

So I make that one genuinely impressive performance and result in that competition.
