Any fee we were likely to get for O'Dowda would probably only cover a month's wage bill at the club. In all honesty, the impact of losing him could be far greater on the pitch than its' effect on the bank balance.
Wait and see what is left of our club, when he has finished selling all the players of any worth ,i can see us staying in this division for at least two years.Hope im wrong.Players to go Salech Robinson Tanner Davies Robertson Chambers, then tell me hes not asset stripping and destroying our club.
Will - O'Dowda had a contract with City, he didn't have to go anywhere. The fact is he clearly didn't want to play at League One level. The attraction of fellow countryman Robbie Keane managing in top flight football (such as it is) in Hungary was too much of an attraction. Yes, City didn't have to release him, but if an acceptable bid was made and the player wanted to go fair enough. I very much doubt Tan was trying to recoup some of his losses in doing so.
the same question should be asked of Chansiri at Wednesday and of our own SISU in th past!! WTF are they doing in football at all?? Nothing but gamblers trying to make a quick buck and when it goes t1ts up, they don't know how to escape it.
That's correct Robbie although in fairness to Tan he has continued to sink his money in. Wages and bills paid on time. No problems like the muppet has caused at Wednesday. Tan is not asset stripping. If he was then the youngsters with promise would be the first to go as there is more cash value in them. However he also needs to offload high earners like O'Dowda, Robinson and Chambers to make the club more financially efficient and possibly to create a pot of money for new signings. The truth is he has got himself into a hole where he can't see a way out in normal business terms. It would make sense for him to sell the club, maybe to Bale and his consortium, albeit at a significant loss, but I'm not sure how that sits with his cultural values - loss of face is a very big thing in his part of the world. All we can do is sit and wait while having a good whinge on here.
I come back and save for O’Dowda going and the release of the new kit (what is that away kit all about) nothing much has changed No new players. Tan still in charge with his pair of pet clowns. Chambers, Horvarth, Robinson & Willock are still here. On the positive side Salech, Rubin, Lawlor and Robertson are still here
One of our young keepers, Joe Thomas, has found a place at Barry Town. Good luck Joe. https://clwbpeldroed.org/2025/07/06...1vhdM2gD4RAqBR3lOw_aem_Fmp5X8jSaRMifieHoXHCtw
No Masky I'm not, however I am related to Barry lion, Barry jaguar, and Barry leopard. We belong to the same genus, Panthera, and share many similar traits and characteristics. While we each have our own unique features, we are all part of the same family tree and have a common ancestor. One interesting trend regarding the relationship between me and Barry lion is the ongoing debate over which of us is the true king of the jungle, or in Barry at least. Some people argue that Barry lion deserves this title due to his mane and social structure, while others believe that my strength and agility make me the more deserving candidate. This debate has sparked countless discussions and research studies, but the truth is that we are both equally impressive in our own right.
Blimey BT, that all sounds a little bit dodgy, like all one big family together ( just like the JB's, and more so the 6 fingered gimps like Lesta) have you had to do a DNA test?? (no offence)
I think the letters DNA confused him. Not in alphabetical order. He can play the tune from Deliverance on the banjo. Squeal Piggy, squeal!!!
Tad worrying that there's no Perry Ng!! He was in the club pics for the away shirt just a few days ago... Could he be the next big earner to jump ship??
