In the Gold Cup final played overnight, the USA lost 2-1 to Mexico (after being 1-0 up) - Downs came on for the final 20 minutes and with international duty now over, is free to travel to the UK for a medical with Saints in the next 48hrs

I would have thought that absolutely he would. Or at the very least Downs will have made that initial contact to ask Poch.

 

I would be very surprised if Downs didn't ask Poch about coming here.

 

Not sure what relevance Poch could have to the current club tbh. He worked here for 16 months and left over a decade ago under a completely different ownership and leadership team.

 

I noticed that when Lallana retired, Poch posted about it on Instagram but used a photo where they were wearing Liverpool and Tottenham jackets
