Couldn't believe the commentators didn't mention the fact it was a massive dive, another media darling. I don't think planet earth would have been able to continue spinning if Suarez did the same thing.
I honestly can't see how anyone is saying it's a penalty. Totally beyond me. I've heard people justifying it by saying 'there was contact'. Contact is the most vague word you can use in this situation.
This what I was reffering to on a different thread! In the Fulham game Suarez was constantly ignored when similar fouls were commited against him! For some reason the softer ones are given in the area than anywhere else on the pitch. The cynic in me wonders if this is a deliberate ploy by those in charge to increase contention or controversy and the goals scored to market the game more?
Thing about it is, Suarez has a bit of a rep in England for diving and plus with these two charges put on him I'm guessing he'll be watched carefully which is unfortunate if he does nothing wrong. As said previously, Modric is an angel to the media and Spurs fans so he can do no wrong. Blatent dive and lost a bit of respect for the lad. I do agree though, if Suarez had done this, a lot of people would be calling for his head. Same with our Drogba too.
Perhaps Suarez is saving his ammunition. After all Ferguson's comments, the media and the Refs have now given every central defender the green light to just go straight through the back of him. So when he does get a knock he can sue ALL of the bastards!
The Hammerhead thanks you for getting his name right, with capital letters. He hasn't had the pleasure of the lady you refer to, or you would have known about it already. She'd be walking like John Wayne
