In all honesty I've no concern about what players want to do providing the club comes out of it well. I'd hope Tommy Watson has shown us that, once a player has decided he wants to leave Sunderland, he becomes a cash sum and that's all. Pickford and Henderson, winning England caps, has done very little for us tbh. It's time to get serious and do what we've done with the likes of Clarke and Stewart ... ... cash in when the time is right and move on.
biggest for me is the big man, personally think he's are big asset and don't have many young strikers coming through who literally nearly have it all
Would love Neil to stay, we need a local core and to keep the team spirit of last season together as best we can. However they also need to be good enough. Maybe RLB thinks we can do better, maybe Neil wants a new challenge. Could be a bit of both. There's a few British loving it in Italy now, even that Scottish lad is captain of Bologna now (forgot his name) I could see Neil thriving over there. Plus it's a canny place to live.
Well I'd really like to see him stay. I can't think of a better challenge than being with us in the PL after the horrors of the last few years and his role in getting us back there. And as for fighting for your place, well I hope they all feel they have to. Every time they play. But you have to want to stay, want to constantly prove yourself. We'll see, but I hope he's still here in August.
Agent can only guide not demand. Agents just want their %age fee. No reason why Dan cannot tell the agent to fk off and sign...........if he wants to.
don't think he's turned it down believe he's been offered everything he would like, but the club won't wait for him with a year left
I have a great feeling about Rigg this year, thought he struggled at times last season but you often forget he was 17. He showed some unreal glimpses of the player he will become Said it many times but he's the best prospect I've ever seen at Sunderland and under the right development I think he could become an elite player
Without being disrespectful to Neil as much as I love him as a footballer he seems to be a bit on the less intellectual side Does he learn the language and settle in a new country?
Agree with this. Reward him with a decent boost in wages and get him ties down. He is going to do well next year imo and skyrocket in value!
