I read we can only sign free transfers & loans if we're under the 23 squad limit.. Im assuming this is why we're letting players like Jacob leave to try and get our numbers down a bit, then we can bring players in. Are we allowed to sign players on a 18 month loan deal with an obligation to buy to get around the transfer ban?
So, i get that the situation seems dire, but people on here are reacting hysterically to every single new tweet like the four minute warning has started. What's the point in bickering amongst ourselves about each others perceptions of events that may or may not happen?
I’m finding this all confusing all ****….cant pay a fee for any players now maybe we can if we get the fee / deal authorised by the EFL. It feels all rumour & guesswork
Mike White on Radio Humberside has said that change of ownership does not change the fee restriction windows, only a successful appeal can reduce it.
So we can sign players for a fee as long as it’s approved by the efl? I thought that’s how we worked anyway, I remember tan saying “they must think we are crooks from Turkey” or something similar
You would think a change on ownership would be grounds for an appeal though - in fact I'm sure they've reduced sanctions to aid a sale in the past?
This might have been asked and answered but if there is a transfer embargo how does that work with an obligation to buy?
White also confirms that the Barry deal isn’t in isolation and there are other outstanding payments/instalments owed to other clubs for transfers.
We’ve got 14 days to lodge an appeal. I don’t know how quick the turnaround is for a decision. In any case, it wastes valuable time this summer.
There are some posted on here I would expect would buy something for £5.99 from Tesco with a £10 note and selflessly tell them to keep the change.
Kieran Maguire says most fee restriction appeals fail. Even if we settle our outstanding payments and show sustainability, an offence has still been committed and a sanction is still expected. He also says he and others have heard rumours from reliable sources that City have serious cash flow problems but not enough evidence for them to go public with stories.
Massive amount of comfort to be had from this, knowing that Acun treats Clubs equally,he just gets it,what a man
