don’t think he talked about Fraser like this though: If I had the opportunity I'd sign Brooksy to a contract that he has to stay with me until he retires," he said. But that's not an option. There's no option at all at the moment. "I'm really enjoying working with him as a player and as a person. He's fantastic. He's even better than I thought he was and I had a really high opinion of him in the first place." and Brooks about him: If he wants to, I'm open to it! His style of play and the way he is as a guy, I think he's an extremely good manager and he's going to do great things. "If he wants to take me wherever he ends up, then he can do." Pretty nauseating
I see Sunderland have spent £25m on Chelsea’s 7th choice keeper, weren’t we linked with their keeper Patterson previously? Could open the door to a potential move
If we were to loan out Ramsdale for the season, then I would be very happy if we could bring in Patterson on loan for the season to replace him. That would pretty much be perfect in my book. Of course it might be that Sunderland will only entertain a permanent move. But I would suggest that a loan could be beneficial for them, because if they do get relegated then Patterson can come straight back into their side (if Petrovic was to jump ship next summer).
Birmingham sign Bright Osayi-Samuel. 22-cap Nigerian RB. Iirc we were linked with him a two years ago. Brum absolutely going for it.
Yeah does seem to make sense for all parties is Ramsdale does go on loan. Petrovic has never struck me as being much good and I thought Patterson was highly thought of so was surprised when they paid so much for a new keeper. Maybe they don’t think that highly of Patterson or Petrovic is a lot better than I’m giving him credit for. Wouldn’t be the first time that a player who looks poor at a big side would be one of the best players at a smaller side
Having read a little more into it it seems to stem from Tammy Abraham going there and KWP following him on some social media. So maybe just pure rumours BS. I think if I were in his position I’d rather go there than a midtable PL side like an Everton or a Fulham. Spurs have also been linked to help boost home grown numbers but he clearly wouldn’t be first choice with Porro there so I can see him being attracted to the idea of Besiktas
