My sources close to Fratton Park have today confirmed that they have genuine concerns that our catering facilities will not be able to cope next week. They are worried that they may not have enough Steak & Kidney as well as Balti pies available for fans, as Tubby Lambo will of course be having his pre match fill before the match.

With the pubs being shut it may be advisable to take some sandwiches for the half time break<whistle><ok>

He was pretty useless without Spit the dog.

  4. Lambo or no Lambo, I''ve heard that FP usually sells out of food even before kick-off.

Lambo's dieticians will therefore be preparing a specially made packed lunch for him, giving him all the vitamins and nutrients he needs to get that Pompey 'onion bag' bulging <whistle>

I've never eaten a pie at a football game and I have no desire to change that!

I've eaten humble pie - but it was a long time ago.

Talking of pies and the game itself there is going to be a lot at steak and not mushroom for error but Nigel knows his onions and in the end we will make mincemeat of you but one things for sure it will be no place for any chickens. And in any case after his time in the west country Lambo is far more partial to a pasty than a pie and by the way he is'nt fat he's big boned

I hated it personally. The star and crescent is our emblem and we should never have changed it.

Mus admit I was surprised by that crest and hadn't seen it before. However, our current crest only dates from the early 70's (I think) albeit it was an improvement of the previous crest. Still think that the original St. Mary's crest looks the best by a country mile.

Never been tempted by a SMS pie having been shocked at having to fork out £4 about 3 years ago for a pastie.

Isn't there a league for pies at the various football stadia?

I think Morecambe won the pie league.

Meat and potato pies at Barnsley were the best I tried. Bristol Rovers, when they were at Twerton Park, had some truly awful food.

I just go for Burgers. Had a good one in a burger van outside Fratton Park a couple of years back. Was bloody massive!

I'll wager that was a Mick's monster burger, Lapras. He can be found on top of Portsdown hill when he's not at FP. Probably the best view you can have, whilst wolfing down a big messy.
