Funny that they all came out as soon as the first rumour broke and said they’d known about it all day but were waiting to report it. Yeah my arse. First thing they’d have done is tweeted that there’s some financial trouble brewing at city, more to follow.
Isn't that why he has now surrounded himself with people who 'should' know what they are doing and in Hodges case from Senior positions at other clubs.
Nothing to do with "told you so". Id rather the 3 of us were wrong. But the crap we got for just posting what we had been told was not needed
I get that people don’t want to accept what all the noise coming out suggests and are waiting for some kind of ‘formal announcement’ or a response/excuses from Acun. But, those who seem to have an inside track in the club have suggested for some time that financially we are on a tight rope (and that’s putting it positively!). Well respected football financial expert, Kieran McGuire has said he has had for a number of months that we have some serious issues. The Telegraph broke the story and local journalists have suggested they were also uncovering evidence of our financial demise. To top it off the EFL have put an initial 3 window ban on us, they don’t do this without clear evidence. Just one payment to Villa that has supposedly been settled, wouldn’t be the only trigger for the embargo. So, I wouldn’t say there has been an over reaction, in fact I think it would be more of a surprise if Acun can get out of this any other way other than selling the club.
Oh well if the court case is over we might hear something like don't worry my beautiful fans I managed to keep the money I won and can pay the other clubs now.
If he can’t adequately fund the club, can’t the EFL just disqualify him and instruct him to sell the club by a certain deadline? That’s what happened to Yongge at Reading.
The thing is no-one’s going to buy it at the moment. Any prospective buyers will let the club fall into administration then try to do some last minute deal with the administrators. By which time we’re docked points so become even less attractive as we’ll be dead certs for relegation. It’s an ideal situation for Ehab if he’s still interested. The Allam family ‘save’ the club once again. And he’ll probably insist on Hull Tigers for the the company name just to rub our noses in it. There is no upside. The **** show has hit the buffers.
I suspect that might happen but only after a similar long drawn out saga to Reading’s. Of course, we’ve just sacked the manager with experience of exactly that situation.
I’m not so sure, unless any new buyer knows they can get the embargo lifted. Because with the embargo, we’re nailed on for relegation anyway - points deduction or not.
