reality is in the figures of the vote count wont go into it in detail as have before .. but labour had a lower vote, so a lot of previous voters for them didnt, TORIES had a much lower vote because people just didnt vote for any one. survey done amongst ex tory voters did show they didnt vote to show them a lesson!

the pasting well, that would have been true if Labour actually had a bigger than previous vote and tories had lost the same as labour had won!!!!! [ VOTERS changing from Tory to Labour, THAT DIDNT HAPPEN actually EX labour and TORY voters voted for REFORM and and missing millions were TORY that didnt vote for anything ]

we have a .gov by default! a .gov that has a smaller % representation of the whole UK CITIZENSHIP ....................

we need another tunnel ... a pedestrian one it goes under the channel and comes out at french coast the Border Force DOCKS AT THE ENTRANCE AND FEEDS THE BOAT PEOPLE INTO THE RECEPTION AREA!!! they then get given a rucksack which contains a toilet roll, 4 days supplies, a new set of cheap but sturdy footwear a bedroll on route, one way only they collect water and a few treats like a twix or miss molly fruit and nut bar ............... problem being the .gov would take about 20 years to complete it

We’re apparently getting chancers that have been refused entry into Italy and Sweden now

But hey, we’ll take anyone, no matter how shady their past might be

The Home Office will let them disappear into the black market of employment with the likes of Just Eat or Deliveroo anyway and they’ll soon be earning £1000 a week and not paying any tax or NI
    A double whammy

triple whammy denying our own, them doing blackmarket jobs.... if they didnt do it as self employed / cash in hand and live 10 to a room our own citizens would be able/ needed do the jobs and the fee's would be higher more in line with UK citizen wage structure.
quite a few are not very healthy there is road in stockwood where they stop to urinate. seen it about 6 times in past 12 or so month's they work out of the Stockwood takeaways chip shop/ pizza shop etc the first one I saw do it I recognised as working from the chip shop as walking home from allotment .............. guess what I dont get food delivered from takeaways ... its a pain to go to shop to get it, but cant risk health problems

[QUOTE="AshtonRed, post: 18471164, member: 1045098"it’s easy to just criticise others, finding answers that actually work is much harder, as labour are now finding out.[/QUOTE]

You believed Starmer would 'smash the gangs'.
    Update please.

Remind me, how did the previous lot get on at solving the problem after 14 years of trying?.

We need to give the present lot a bit longer than a year, I’ve no idea if it’ll work, but I do know keep trying the same thing and expecting a different outcome is the sign of madness.

'Remind me, how did the previous lot get on at solving the problem after 14 years of trying?'

There you go again, all you do endlessly is blame the previous lot.
Ashton, we know they screwed up.

'We need to give the present lot a bit longer than a year, I’ve no idea if it’ll work, but I do know keep trying the same thing and expecting a different outcome is the sign of madness'

That is exactly what Starmer and Cooper are doing but going the extra mile giving the French umpteen zillions as well to help the board their taxis.
    Now that is 'madness'.

THE NUMBERS WERE DECREASING interviews via media in the camps were that it was no longer a good idea to cross the channel and risk Rwanda ...would not stop all but did have a an effect in reducing numbers crossing and waiting!

We’ve been through all this before, I’m not having a long debate and repeating myself like some mad Groundhog Day. You’ve stated you’re view, here’s mine and we’ll leave it there.

4 men and their dog went to Rwanda, all volunteers, not one plane left for Rwanda, at a cost of hundreds of millions of £’s each. YOU CAN KEEP REPEATING YOURSELF AND SHOUTING, BUT THOSE ARE THE FACTS,

The numbers increased year on year for the whole 14 years they were in power, despite each GE promises they were going to reduce them. Rwanda was illegal and it took 14 years to get that far.

I have no issue with a credible deterrent, if it works and is legal, but Rwanda wasn’t those things and took 14 years and hundreds of millions of pounds. IT WAS NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE, simple.

No Ashton, don't leave us hanging.
You gave a view of the past useless Tory administration.

Now tell us your view of the current situation and an update on Starmer's headline policy to 'Smash the Gangs'.

here is where your argument ends as the start date for planes to go to Rwanda was around the 14th July 2024 14 days or so after the GE .......... WITHIN 2 DAYS OF POWER 2 tier Granny Harmer cancelled it...

SO ... YOU CAN SAY ...it didnt work because it never got the chance, in fact like everything in the past year it has been fail fail fail fail BUT WHAT IT DID was send a message to those who were not going to come as the risk to RWANDA was so real ................... W E L C O M E I am in power now and dont worry this is your paradise ..... cost to the tax payer is not £900m it is now over £15,000,000+

note the red ...............they were going down ................................ in past 12 month's is approaching a record
