I’ll try and pick 3 from, Guinness, Trophy, caffreys, Double Maxim, Camden Stout and something called 1906 Black that I had in Santa Cruz in December. Ooh look at me having a holiday just afore Christmas.
The RAGE when it’s not served in a Stella glass is real. The glass is designed to correctly distribute the bubbles
Some of the pubs I've been in in London, the price should include the glass, table, bar stool and maybe a night in bed with the landlords 21 year old daughter!
Used to love a Stan Micheal. Then I moved to Spain. Was there about 2 days before a local barman told me ‘don’t drink that muck it’s for tourists’, and moved me to Mahou. Never had one since, 15 years ago
Tried to buy a Staropramen glass from a pub a while back, one of those old fashioned type pint glasses with a handle, bloke behind the bar wouldn't sell me one, apparently people kept nicking them and he only had a few left.
Usually a gip in any airport, bar Tenerife were you can get a Dorada, the more than palatable local brew, for same price as anywhere else on island. Confused the hell out of me not getting fleeced for an airport livener
Double Maxim too, always hated Newky Brown In my early drinking years we used to meet up in the Golden Lion in Houghton and line up all the empty bottles on the fireplace in the back room. When I moved to London there were a select few pubs that sold DM bottles - we used to go to the Princess Louise in Holborn but the barman also had a taste for it These days my tastes have changed a bit and enjoy a variety of ales Guinness, Neck Oil, Dos XX, Erdinger
I really like the Belgian beers Leffe my favourite and all of their range, but one of the best British beers I have tasted in a long time is from vocation brewery called life or death it is an IPA and one of the best IMO.
80 shilling takes me back. Spend years in Scotland and always had a couple of those to kick my night off
