I work in heavy construction. Before Heath and Safety was so heavily introduced the amount of deaths was very high. Friends losing body parts were never nice. Some of the rules may be bit tight. When I went to work for a independent without the rules I was in the middle of NEBOSH (H&S diploma) I had to do a report on my workplace and had to tone it down otherwise they would have insisted on seeing this workplace and shut it down. Needless to say it opened my eyes to what it was like to now (2009 when I done report. Even more tighter now) and I quickly left to go back to previous company. I know we make jokes about H&S but it’s there for a reason and that reason is to go home safely. But in response to Fry’s Club, it’s just people changing Wiki thinking it’s funny.
Both my grandmother and the wife’s grandmother worked at Fry’s. Both had died before we got together but the chances are they knew each other.

I lived in Keynsham from 1959 to 1982/3 worked at "Frys" 2001/ 2004 whilst also being self employed[ 2 jobs] [actually !3 ]
The Pioneer and the Talbot used to be regular haunts of mine before I moved to Swindon. I believe the Pioneer has gone now - sad.
pioneer was always a weird pub but had good beer in the 80's always went there once a week for a "cb ers " meeting, often had the odd policeman [ very discretly], poke his nose in the door......"evening all!"............. Had my wedding reception at the Talbot
The Talbot (if you mean the one at Broadwalk?) underwent several attempts to keep it afloat including converting to an Asian/Chinese restaurant, but that also failed and its been closed for a good 5 years, probably longer. If there's a Talbot in Keynsham then apologies for butting in, but there is talk of pubs and beer going on
Its been there well over a hundred years, was the watering hole for the very large market that was to its right.............. backs on to the police station!
My Mrs grew up in keynsham, left when we met, 2002. Spent All her teenage years there, had her first flat and then a house. Left there when 40
That was my first watering hole I lived about 80 metres away from that ... didnt register it had been pulled down. THURSDAY NIGHT was 3 pints me and a mate, about 1s 8d or less bitterale split! then Bath road for 1 gallon of petrol about 6s 8d or less then into town Bier keller 2 steins 2s 10d Then top rank usually about 5 pints about 2s? entry often free! total spend for both was about 18s always out with £1 note and a 10s note... any coins less than a florin in my pocket when I got home went in a tin, about 1 foot square and 4" deep every year at start of holiday would open it. WAS SEALED by welded strips around it so just cut a hole in it ....lol used to weigh about ........very very very heavy........... think I had 5 of them? before got married / stopped going into town! ........ converted to a co op
Andi Weimann opens up over Bristol City departure 18 months on from final Robins appearance Andi Weimann spent six years at Ashton Gate before leaving Bristol City as a free agent last summer https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/andi-weimann-opens-up-over-10318798
Andi Weimann, still going strong, good luck to the guy, if he had remained with Nahki we would have a mid 30's duo to remember, you never know but would we have achieved top 6, maybe......
