Sunderland were seriously interested in January and he wanted the move but it never happened for some reason. I think it’s because Sunderland were open to the €15 million obligation-to-buy upon promotion but Westerlo either were willing to accept a lower permanent fee in January or an obligation-to-buy from Sunderland regardless of the division they’d be in. Either way, Westerlo wanted a guarantee. I think they would’ve accepted €10 million in January or a loan with a €10 million obligation-to-buy without conditions.
Yes. Exactly that, **** all to see & do. Meals & drinks delivered by boat, was like been in prison (but with great views lol)
To many who aren’t really familiar with Frigan, €7 million is quite high. To me, it’s actually quite low and I wonder if there’s some other financial arrangement between Acun and Westerlo’s owner to facilitate this deal. Maybe writing off any outstanding payments or cancelling any sell-on clauses on the Sayyadmanesh deal? I always thought the reported fee we paid for Pandur was incredibly low (£1.5 million I think). Even back then, he was rated highly enough to be worth double that so perhaps we got him cheap because Acun forgave any debts owed to him by Fortuna Sittard.
Thats what they did with Le Fee - loan with £19m obligation to buy on promotion (always wonder about the player's opinion on these) so its something they clearly are open to considering. But if they regarded F as Championship target rather then a PL one (and they clearly don't want him as a PL player, otherwise you would have thought they would have gone back and got him) then its odd that they would have been open to 15m Euros obligation to buy upon promotion. But it definitely seems that they were interested at some point and their recent talent acquisition strategy has been demonstratively good. Though it should be noted there are some misses there ... Rusyn most notably but also Ba, Aouchiche, Hemir, Poveda, Bennette and Pemebele.
Makes sense We walked round the entire island every morning…which took a full 20 minutes! At least I felt I’d earned my beer that way
So I work in a place called crossbasket castle in scotland...boss just built 22 mill quid hotel and thinks where the nursery is would make great lodges..nursery posted 900k profit last year too...idiot lol...and all he did was invent the smart meter...f**king smart my ass lol
John Swift is available on a free if we're looking for a #10 now that Omur is going. Always thought he was a handy player and on a free transfer he's got to be a better option than Jonjo Shelvey.
Jakirović said he wanted ‘speed and power’ in midfield during the press conference so I will be very, very surprised if Shelvey is offered a contract. As soon as he sees him in a pre-season friendly, Jakirović will be thinking to himself ‘I can cover more ground than him and I’m pushing 50’. Jakirović was a no-nonsense defensive midfielder in his playing days.
