Former England and Gloucestershire fast bowler David 'Syd' Lawrence has died at the age of 61.

Poor David, he died from the horrible motor neurone disease. RIP
Former England, Northamptonshire, Durham and Bedfordshire batsman Wayne Larkins has died at the age of 71.
Larkins played 13 Tests and 25 ODIs including being part of the 1979 World Cup runners up squad.

I’d never heard of him but a very nice interview with the author of his book on Talksport. Proceeds from the book are going to MND charities.

I remember him well from the 60s as a reporter, he covered several wars and was a regular on the front line before becoming one of the regular newsreaders on News at Ten. Surely one of the most travelled of his era. RIP...
