Gabriel Gudmundsson is the left back and a done deal apparently

Another who only had a year left on his contract so hopefully a useful player at a decent price

Hope I'm a terrible judge of player.

Not keen on any of the new signings so far and I didnt want Gudmundsson as our new left back. I have him down as being very quick but pretty clueless at defending.

Slight upgrade on Firpo then, according to reports he plays a few times at LM and left of a back three

Seems the jury's out with a lot of the fanbase, very mixed views on Gudmundssson. Bijol the only one that as more positives than negatives
A few seem to believe we're making signings now to fill the squad, the big hitters are on the way, I think that's probably hope more than anything else. One thing though the signings we're making do seem at an age where they should be in their prime.

It’s sort of making sense why Angus might have left. He said three years back that the policy of buying players for ten or twenty million doesn’t work, you have to shop at next level. So far we’ve dropped a couple of levels. Hard to imagine you can build a pl team with lads for five or six million a piece or even freebies

Left back should be a big hitter, whoever we sign should be first choice. Gudmundsson looks a bit of a gamble. We might end up with Sam Byram as first choice left back if Gudmundsdon doesn't settle quickly.

The positive is that I said Tanaka wouldn't be able to handle the Championship when we signed him so these lads will probably be world beaters. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Someone who's never far off the mark reckons Gudmundsson is a Byram replacement and we're still looking at a first choice left back, if that doesn't materialise then Gudmundsson will be our number 3

We’re not though mate, they were refusing new contracts and entering their final year. If they’d signed new contracts the fees would be far greater

I feel we’re getting these players slowly in knowing we might need to spend big on maybe two players, get the squad sorted all apart from a striker and midfield attacker and see how much is left

I’d like Kyle Walker Peters on a free, Spurs are after him, the moment he signs he’s a £20m player

    I watch alot of football.

Heard of Nmecha as he had a few German caps when he was younger. Can't say I knew his play style that well.

I remembered Bijol playing against England in a 0-0 draw in the Euros last year. He was big and strong but slow. Marked Kane but Kane never moved all game and never ran in behind which infuriated me.

    Never heard of Bornauw.

Only thing I know of Gudmundsson is that he is really quick. Seen him play for Sweden and thought "if he was any good at football to go with that pace he'd play for a massive club". He's 26 and nobody of any note has picked him up. A bit of an alarm bell that.

I have a habit of googling players that I watch on telly to see who they are.
