i reckon about 42,000. O'neill will put around 10,000 on the gate imo as the crowd would have been the lowest of the season if Bruce was still at the helm
Can't get down but will be watching on the telly = will be down Boxing Day, so see you all in the Isis. 43500 is my guess Bart
Apparently we have sold about 38,000 tickets, and Blackburn around 300...So that should give us a good clue for the attendance...
Went through the ticket booking process yesterday, there was something like 4,400 unsold, maybe sell another few hundred today?
Don't think there's any left mate but if anyone knows of any then let us know. Used to love coming out of the Newcastle Road baths and getting a couple of 'broken' pies and a bags of peas and gravy, furking lush.
My prediction earlier in the week was 45,000 and I stick by that. The weather is crap mind but the Mon magic will have a hugely positive effect and the atmosphere will be far better too imo. I can't wait.
Morning campers! Looks like Cest has gone in with the highest prediction of 45,000 so I'm going in with 45,001 Really looking forward to todays match and wish I could be up there for it I'm sure that those of you who are attending will be in fine voice, so enjoy the day folks! P.S...... There used to be a Maws shop in the Pallion, don't know if it's still there though
It annoys me that the press think we can only get 32000 due tho the attendance vs Stoke on the day of the great north run. Murray out - Our average this season is over 37000 (and there was nearly 38000 against wigan) so if he adds 10000 then it'll be almost sold out. I think there'll be over 40000 there today and I'm expecting a great atmosphere.
i said 10,000 because i firmly believe the crowd would have been as low as 32,000 if bruce was still here after the dismal results v wigan and wolves
