Did they? There was a apparently a video of it online but it got removed.

 

Must have been close to them then - I was in the next block and didn't hear it - mate told me at half time that a few of the oldies clipped a few ears for singing it - lasted about 5 seconds by all accounts!!

What a stupid overreaction all this has been if that's true.

 

Here we go again, same as with the GC stuff. I wouldn't sing songs myself, I wouldn't send jokes or laugh at ones sent to me. This is because to me Gary Speed was a legend and a thoroughly nice bloke who I met a couple of times. However I laughed my tits off at some of the jokes I got sent to me about Amy Winehouse and Michael Jackson so I'm not gonna be a hypocrite and start criticising those who mock his death. That is life and you can't just change your mind to suit the situation. To us Speed was a legend but we need to get used to the fact that some disliked him, and some disliked him for what he did. Everyone has their own opinions on suicide and no one can sit here and say their opinion is the correct moral standing on the matter. To be honest to then generalise about all Millwall fans is just daft. Yes they have an element like most clubs who are a bit unsavoury, but they also have a number of very decent supporters I would imagine.

Fai enough for the article, but I wouldn't give them the attention.

Having said that, if Millwall are a respectable club these days, they should ban the abusive fans in question.

Think I've just found out who I would buy if I made my fortunes. I believe the relevant terms are asset stripping and liquidity

On a more serious note though, fancy filling us in on what happened then? The rest of the fans chant something back, get em chucked out?

Always a shame when a minority let the side down, especially with your rep. Last thing any sensible fans need.

 

A few of the younger lot (10 at most) started singing "where's your Gary gone" - got put in there place very quickly by the older lot - one of them tried to start it off again and got a slap!
