I think it's bigger than social media. The rivalry between Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray has really boiled over in the last couple of years. Galatasaray are the dominant club and their fans really don't like Acun or by extension us. I think this is part of what he's struggled with so much over the last year; he's become quite unpopular in Turkey when he was previously very popular. I know a few Turkish people and this has been the consistent message from them.
