Really unimpressive replacements being lined up. Jason Ayto, who was assistant to Edu at Arsenal for a decade and has been out of work for a year as he wasn’t then taken on when Edu left, or Ross Wilson who’s been at powerhouses such as Huddersfield, Watford and Falkirk.

Nickson has a good track record of bringing through some decent talent. Not sure why he isn't the man to oversee the talent ID and purchase. Been at the club nearly 15 years and thought he was the one bringing in Sissoko (£1.5m), Cabaye (£5m) etc. so never been sure why he hasn't had more of a role bringing in players as he's got a good eye for talent at decent prices.

Yeah you are right, Nickson was here but overseeing the youth team at that point. Still managed to be involved in bringing in a couple of the recent aquisitions though so still think we should scrap a DoF and just let him concentrate on the talent Id.
