Couldn’t have put it much different really.
I thought the Tories were s hit, but this lot, it’s like our team going back to league one under Parkinson and I feel I’m being cruel to Parkinson <laugh>

He’s not going to have to swoop mate, they have another 4 years to get some money out of people who can afford it ( but use the bugger properly) take a leaf out of KLD’s book. Don’t take money off people who don’t know if they are going to eat tomorrow.
The post A new dawn is well and truly dead and buried.
They are handing this to Farage.

Agree. Needs to have the courage of his convictions (no pun intended) and stop trying to please the liberal middle classes. They are not Labour's natural voters, the working class are. It is like a husband not giving his wife enough love and affection and she ends up running off with a greasy lothario called Nigel who has ulterior motives.:emoticon-0138-think

I mention this in passing, and without expressing any view, merely a question.

If the current Chancellor had been a man, and was seen wiping tears away while sitting on the Front Bench, would the general reaction have been the same as the one that the current incumbent received?

Economy shrank again for the second month in succession. Record number of boats.

Starmers own backbench is going against him. Reeves clearly isn’t professional or strong enough to do the job she has been tasked with.

    It’s a **** show.

It sounds as though we can only send a maximum of 50 back a week but these are only a swap for those who are able to claim asylum legally.
Why will this put off illegal asylum seekers?

Dream team? More like a nightmare on Downing Street.

Because then the people who cross illegally, will think they will be swapped out, so they will stop coming across on boats and no swaps for those with UK links can then be made, so UK essentially get none. I Think that's the long term plan.

I must be missing something about the Chagos islands, I just don't understand it. Why give the islands away then pay 101Mill a year to lease military base. If he just kept the islands, there would be no lease to pay.

First and last time I voted was 2001 (labour vote) and never voted for anything again, none decent to vote for.

Excellent quick recovery though, a second later you would have not realised he even tripped.

If we are averaging nearly a 1000 a week coming in that’s only 5% of illegals getting sent back, but we’ve swapped that 5% for legal immigrants so we are exactly back to square one. No way having a 95% success rate is going to deter anyone.
The Rwanda scheme would of ended the illegals I reckon.

What is a horrible thought is having to vote Tory or Labour to keep Farage out <doh>
Not voting will definitely let him in.
The other choice is everyone vote lib/dems,
Let’s be honest could they be any worse?
