His name is way too close to Nyatanga, which even the thought of sends shivers down my spine. One of the worst players I've ever seen in a Sunderland shirt and also a supposed defender. For this reason alone I'm going on record as being completely opposed to this transfer.
Not a huge fan of Hackney. Don't really see where he fits either. If we were a possession dominant side I could understand it but he's really poor out of possession.
I think they're quoting the article Nixon posted last week in the Sun https://www.thesun.ie/sport/1545541...sunderland-premier-league-transfer-cresswell/
Don't think he would be a replacement for Neil and I cant see it happening Think hes more of a 8 which Rigg will become, is Hackney better than Rigg currently probably, but Rigg will end up the better player And again he would be competing with Enzo and Diarra for a start - Doesnt really make sense for any party
Dan Neil was poor out of possession but worked on it a lot. Do you think Hackney could be coached that side of it or is it a desire / lack of defensive ability thing?
Really hard to tell, it requires 3 parties being happy with the change, have to be someone willing to meet our demands, the player open to leaving and us being comfortable with replacing I personally think Neil will sign a new deal with the cavaet of relegation clause as most will Most likely to leave for me would be Cirkin, just with us in negotiations of a new deal yet signed someone (Reinildo - More than likely) who is arguably on paper ahead of him - Also IMO he signs a new deal In terms of bids in for people unexpected Mayenda potential gamble for someone maybes even a Saudi club
