I've voted bacon, and chip buttie, but fish finger was close, and I do like coronation chicken too.

I can only think that those who didn’t vote for ham and pease pudding (preferably in a stottie) is only because they’ve never actually had one. Which in itself is a crime against sandwichstry.

    Sandwichstry....what a word that is.
If it isn't in the dictionary, it should be.

Think the thread title should be changed to "Premier League of Sandwichstry".

It’s a great word but I reckon it needs an I. sandwhichistry like Artistry or Chemistry.

How have I taken so long to look at the sandwich thread? My favourite meal type by a distance!

Voted for ham and pease pudding from the list. Can’t beat a bacon sandwich either. If we’re talking unusual personal creations, one of my favourites is sharp cheddar, lime pickle and mango chutney. Absolute revelation.

Have to give the yanks some credit when it comes to sandwiches mind. They’ve got some absolute crackers. A reuben is one of the best things you can eat. The Bourdain mortadella sandwich is a regular in my house. So good. A bodega style chopped cheese is a great, dirty sandwich. Beef dips are ace. My favourite, though, is the Cubano. Put the graft in to make one from scratch every couple of months. Genuinely death row meal worthy.

Dunno if anyone happens to follow Sandwich Tribunal on socials? American fella who makes unusual sandwiches from across the world, usually accompanied by some trivia or a story. He did a lovely video on saveloy dips recently and he’s done an article on the venerable ham and pease pud - although I haven’t seen a vid yet. Very much recommended if you fancy a bit of a scroll.

Bacon Sarnie romping away with this one. Closes in the morning if anyone wants to oust the classic.

Runaway victory for the bacon sarnie. Probably not surprising.

Great battle between the Ham and Pease Pudding Stottie and the Chip Butty. Our North Eastern favourite winning out.

    Everything else - league 1.

The selection committee is currently considering bids. Think FIFA and world cup locations.
