Also averaging a G/A every 241 minutes in Ligue 1. He’s only played consistently last two seasons and even then, this season was a dramatic increase in minutes. 1043 minutes in Ligue 1 two seasons ago, 2782 minutes in Ligue 1 last season
as I was saying Although Burnley has reached an agreement for the transfer of Andy Diouf, Crystal Palace, also interested, seems to have the priority of Lens's midfield
I think my only qualms with him are: - how often he just goes missing and doesn't impact a game at all (but Isidor has a similar tendency) - his shot selection is a big weakness of his, often taking a lot of low xG shots when there are better options available or another tough could give him a better angle. But the positives outweigh the negatives with him and he's in the French setup for a reason - also someone we've been following for 2 years and to still want him at premier league level shows how highly we rate him.
Things that can be coached and come with experience as I said last year is his first year of consistent football
Always got to weigh up that if they didn't have any negatives or things they could do better we wouldn't be signing him as they'd be at the top
Oh yeah totally, think that's why my preference has always been a striker that needs less work done now. But the club obviously believes that Abline, Mayenda and Isidor would be more than sufficient if they're willing to offer so much.
If we've bidded €20m and they are holding out for €25-30m I think we can negotiate a fee that would suit both parties
Think he did very well in what was a shocking Nantes team to watch from a neutrals perspective. Ligue 1's draw specialists, only Montpellier won fewer games and only 3 teams scored fewer goals. I wouldn't go that much higher than the bid we've made, has a few areas of his game where I think he needs to drastically improve and he has a tendency to be very inconsistent but as @MadMackem77 says he's always looking to impact the game, even when he's not playing all that well.
Yeah I'm up for it for that price, i just don't want people's expectations to be sky high initially and then he takes a while to get going. Definitely important to look at both sides.
Nantes owner famously the worst person to deal with in France, they'll be pushing us to our limit because he never budges. He was so stubborn that he let kolo muani go for free because nobody met his valuation.
