On the main page of our forum on the right hand side for each thread, it shows posts and views. When I made my initial post yesterday, views for this thread were 266,880. Views are now at 269,373 for this thread, hence the view count in just under 24 hours has increased by 2,493 and 641 views since my last post on here 5 hours ago. The thread is bewitched
Either that or someone has one of those perpetual motion duck things that were popular in the 70's, constantly hitting the F5 key on their keyboard to refresh the page.
I suspect Ell must have posted something on the MOT Forum saying it is one of the finest threads of all time to promote his “journalistic “ skills
or potentially he provided the link to this thread in one of his houses for sale particulars (ie click here for more photos of the interior etc )
ok just because we all know that I have this sad hobby of liking numbers and stats etc, I thought I would do some comparisons. This thread has been active for 107 days and thus averages 2,526 views per day The jokes thread has been active for 2,052 days (just over 5 1/2 years) and averages 193 views per day The Politics thread has been active for 2,684 days (just over 7 years) and averages 412 views per day In the General Chat section of the whole forum, there is a Politics thread that has been active for just under 3 years (1030 days), it has just under 77,000 replies and over 2,000,000 views (2071 per day) The General Match Day Thread within the Premier League section of the forum has been open for approx. 7 1/2 years (2,742 days). This thread has on average over 100 posts per day, it has been viewed over 6 1/2 million times. This is probably the most viewed thread on the whole forum, and averages just over 2,400 views per day, So make a note in your diaries, our little match day thread will catch up and over take the Premier League section General Match Day thread for overall views (presuming of course present viewing rate remains the same) in just under 166 years. I hope the forum is still going at that time, and that someone checks to see if this thread is indeed the most viewed one on the forum and throws a little party to celebrate
OK so I was just checking something and came across this thread again and thought oh lets see whats happening. Well I can finally declare that this is now our second most viewed thread in our part of the forum, having finally caught up and overtaken the jokes thread Obviously there was a glitch on the forum between the 21st and 23rd October, given that all 3 of Elland Breakfast Debates thread for those 3 days surpassed over 100k views, when the next highest views for one of the Breakfast Debate threads is just under 30k and that's from 2018
It would be interesting to learn how they count page views, how long between visits before the same person is counted again for another page view. A match day thread doing 608,000 views doesn’t make sense
