I think Mourge was brought in for the full back role and his kicking, there was no way in hell Martin would've kicked last night.
Won't know if Rovers have that mentality until the play offs are actually played but I know what you're saying. Rovers have to beat Wigan to be seen as one of the greats, they've beat every other Club in the last 12 months except Wigan, so they're not doing too bad.
Warrington wasn't Rovers Cup Final.... the game in 6 weeks is the semi final and the final in October is...
Helps when the ref and TMO are from Wigan. The decision not to penalise Smith was as bad as you’ll ever see, it was disgraceful and no wonder DM is fuming.
Shaun Wane will focus heavily on current or ex Wigan players which is a shame. I would be massively surprised if George Williams is not his preferred number 6.
You're right there Vern, it's completely wrong to all the other players whichever Club they play for.
I don't ****ing believe this, Martin could get 6 game ban for little tug on shirt. Nothing was called on the field at the time for any offence but the RFL have charged Martin with a grade E offence. The offence is the little pull on the opponents shirt as he gets to his feet. They've classed it as the opponent being injured and isn't allowed to be touched by an opponent. The ref told him to get up because he's known for faking injury. If he gets any type of ban for that tomorrow then the games gone mad. Fans of most of the other teams are all saying there's nowt to it.
For me Williams is still the better option at present, his game management and experience out weigh the off the cuff magic Lewis brings, especially against the Aussies. Lewis needs to be patient, he’s still young and can hold the 6 shirt for England for years to come, he just needs get his head down and cut out the nonsense.
First Smith gets away with the most blatant penalty you’ll ever see now one of Rovers marquee signings, who’s just returned, could get 6 games for that? Coincidence that French has just been ruled out for 8 weeks? Somethings not right here.
Apparently the ref said play on, there wasn't any type of offence but the RFL spotted that minute pull on the shirt. I want to know what size the magnifying glass they used was? It seems they really don't like Rovers where they are in the game. I think this was a deflection from the horrendous ref ruling the other day which the RFL have now come out and apologised for.
'Bloody rubbish Lindop, we only lost because of the ref, the RL is biased against us', rinse and repeat for decades for both of the RL teams.
Used to be Alec? Lindsey back in the day. Ex Wigan? He was always the reason both Hull RL clubs got a 'raw' deal, according to the local eggchasers. One ex Fc player told me Lindsey once was the butt of some horrendous homophobic stuff in the the 'world famous' (HDM) Threepenny Stand. He was actually followed to the toilets and had to lock himself in one the closets to escape one irate Fc fan who wanted to lynch him. He said Lindsey dare not come out for the second half. None of which made the local news and of course no-one was questioned over it, it was just 'one of the those things' which happened on a regular basis at RL games.
