Looks like it will be quite the spectacle, anyone know what the immediate plans are for the landing zone just off the bridge the sheepfolds side? I know its going to be apartment's but will there be a specific walk way to the stadium or is it staying a road?

Looks like it will be pedestrianised according to the images. The 'Way of Light' is mentioned as a name for it

Cool be great when its all done, would of been nice for it to have the same cobbled aesthetic as the sheepfolds, even though sheepfolds really reminds me of the auschwitz museum

I think the burger vans will have to re think their position probably get half the traffic then they are used to

Officially it's "summer 2025" for the opening. From informed guesses from people I know at City Hall, they reckon early August. I think it depends on whether we're home or not for the first game. If we're at home, 15th or 16th, if we're away the 22nd is a good shout.

Easington St will still run past the bridge and along the front of the sheepfolds, then there’s paving going down on opposite of road which will be the walkway. Starting to take shape now and will be ready for Women’s Rugby WC on 22nd

Just finished working there on the new technical college. Really starting to take shape there now, and the bridge looks great.

Half a billion quid is a lot of cash, even to a mob like Cain. They might have received into that tells them they should think again, or maybe have greater need for the cash.

Sounds like a shame that. It's a lot of financing to replace. Someone will know better, and it might be a different Cain, but I think I read once that one of their owners/partners or whatever was Todd Boehly. Always seemed a dodgy fecker to me him.

Hopefully they can find a new/multiple backers to fund it. Will be a massive shame for it not to happen
