Aye, good call. Surprised we haven't seen movement out of either Forest or Villa, thought they'd be the two most likely to need a sale.
Ultimately I think Trafford is a very good, if not particularly exciting/unexpected, signing and glad to see the realization that Pope's not good enough. Pedro's a strange one. We chased him for so long, then it feels like Chelsea just send a couple of emails and it's done. We desperately need to get back to the pace we had when Staveley was around; sure, there were obvious issues that Eales failed to fix, but we were just grabbing players left, right and centre. What we do know for certain is that we are trying to secure another 3 first team players, in attack, right wing and centre back. Still think Elanga could happen, though we may switch to Madueke. Scalvini seems the right profile for us. Be interesting to see where we go from Pedro - all went very quiet on Dibling.
I ****ing loathe Chelsea. The authorities are absolutely useless, for me there should be a loan limit as it’s clear FFP or PSR isn’t going to change their behaviour. They had 20 out on loan last season and have now committed to buy like 5 or 6 more this season. FIFA state loans shouldn’t be used to stockpile players but the rancid blues will have an entire 25 man squad out on loan - why does nobody ever seem to do anything?
Well I did think JP would fit in well, but if he wants to go to Chelsea then **** him, there's other options and he hardly scores every game. Looking at other targets, it seems we're interested in that guy from Deep Space Nine, looks like Arsenal aren't so interested right now.
Ryder saying we ain’t even agreed anything with Burnley yet. Those who thinks he’ll be done today I feel will be disappointed
I think DPP is right, that Burnley will be keen to get it in this years figures. I guess that’s the same reason we went for Elanga early and potentially why foreign signings haven’t really been on the menu. Thats a hopeful guess mind.
Saw Kieran Maguire tweet that said Burnleys end of year accounts is 31 July, I assume that means they have another month then for PSR?!
Absolute garbage. Why should we "have got these deals over the line"? Where is the evidence to show "we have pissed about"? Pure speculation based on zero facts.
Careful mate, he may have another one of his "moments". You know when he talks absolute ****e, gets proven incorrect, then starts calling people names, having temper tantrums, spitting his dummy out, then hides under a rock for a bit and come's out with the usual utter bollox like he's "really a canny lad and how he's just passionate......"
Whilst I continue to seethe about Chelsea, here is a list of their current attacking players: Cole Palmer Christopher Nkunku Tyrique George Pedro Neto Noni Madueke Raheem Sterling Joao Felix Nicolas Jackson Liam Delap Armando Broja Marc Guiu David Datro Fofana Estevao Willian (joining July) Joao Pedro Presumably they'll offload Sterling, Nkunku, Fofana, Felix and Broja, but still........
They'll soon start to struggle because the inflate the wages massively, nobody will want to pay them.
It's just mental. Hopefully it all crashes down on them with all their blatant attempts to bend the rules.
Tbf, most of those players, if we had signed them you would also be on here bitching about how **** they are
I swear if NUFC put out a press release saying we are just about to agree a new contract extension for Wilson, then Chelsea would come in today with a cash offer to buy him before his current contract expires.
