For an 80 year old I thought he did bloody well. His voice has lost a little bit of edge but his memory for the lyrics was tremendous plus his stamina was unbelievable. Great showing.
She had Robert Smith as her guest at Glastonbury... Many years ago, my daughter badgered me into taking her to see Lily Allen at Leeds Uni, she was surprisingly good.
She also brought Lily Allen out as her guest in her previous Glastonbury appearance. Not seen many A list pop stars, usually they’re just a theatrical stage show so it was nice to see Olivia Rodrigo play a proper gig performed completely live and focussed entirely on the music rather than dancing around and special effects. Her band absolutely shreds as well, very talented bunch of girls.
Pop rock aimed at teenage girls. It’s not really the kind of stuff I would listen to although a couple of her songs are really good and you will definitely have heard a few of them, they get a serious amount of air time on tv, radio, in shops and bars etc.
The Glastonbury highlights for me were The Prodigy and Doechii, both of which were absolutely superb. Busta Rhymes, Amyl and the Sniffers (who i'd never heard before) and Kae Tempest were pretty good too. Shame about the Deftones pulling out though.
Prodigy’s set looked unreal. Hoping to catch them at y not festival or Kendal calling in a couple of weeks if I can make the time to go.
He put on a great show no doubt, but he needed his special guests and his costume breaks to get through it. Sadly he's got a few ailments these days and it's starting to show.
I don't actually listen to radio, I stopped when all the rap and computer crap started a few years ago. That was my first time hearing her, she's got a lovely voice, a hell of a range on her.
